She was discovered in her native Nebraska at age 12 and by age 15 she had been signed with Ford Models. Even though she was and is gorge gorge gorgeous, she still had to deal with prejudice; her high school peers would tell her “You’re a fat model. It doesn’t count.” She is conscious that her unique opportunity in plus size modelling probably saved her from developing quite a negative body image in her teens; as such, she is purportedly working on a self-esteem handbook for teenage girls.

Lynn is right. Ashley used to be quite popular, but when she did her diet-drug ads, she alienated a LOT of fans. It was a real slap in the face to all curvy girls.
I’ve not seen those diet ad’s which sound really disappointing but boy is she gorgeous!
Lynn and Karen are liars and just trying to get free pub for a diet drug while attempting to destroy a beautiful woman’s public image. The moderator of this board needs to make their email addresses public as this is nothing short of slander.

Well, that is not definate proof of anything. She might have modeled that shot for a number of things and Alli bought the rights. It should be an issue of does she use this and say fat chicks are ugly. No, I don’t see her dropping any weight and she doesn’t openly endorse this product. She is gorgeous, sexy and totally stunning. If she is anywhere on the page, I see her an typically not any other model. She needs to get more work and grace the world with her flawless form.

She isn’t endorsing the pills just modelling for them, doing her job. And she isn’t even holding the product or popping the pills in her mouth. Just posing behind a blank background, so the pictures probably weren’t even for Alli.
She’s really beautiful and does look like Eva Mendes in some of the pics. To me, if you’re confident and have that ray of sunshine in your eyes, like Ashley, then that’s beauty.

Nice one, Ike…Way to grab the ball and run with it!!! LOL! She really is a beautiful girl and I don’t see what all of the controversy is about running her commercial on ABC. They show much more cleavage than that on their regular progamming, such as Dancing with the Stars and Desperate Housewives. Have you not seen some of the outfits they wear on DWTS???

Ashley is knockout beautiful. I like the fact that she is taking a stand on such an important issue. She has backbone and that makes her in my book a okay.
Why should only the skinny girls get to wear pretty clothes? I love big women, and they deserve pretty clothes, and not the granny panties of days gone by or dresses that look like burlap bags.
Beautiful clothes help to improve ones self esteem. However, ugly clothes have the opposite effect.
Don’t get me wrong I like all women. But I love full figured women. I think a manly man such as myself was designed for the voluptuous women.

The thing about her is her face does not look as big as the rest of her and she has a pretty face not obscured by the fat- she does not lave that typical fat girl face but it is a little weird because it’s like her head sort of doesn’t fit with that big body. I think her hips are huge but – she has a small waist which make her look truly curvy as opposed to blocky like most mortal fat girls look
I have been searching for months trying to find out who the PHENOMENAL model in Lane Bryant ads is, and then all of a sudden this controversy pops up and viola, there is my girl! Stunningly gorgeous woman that any hot blooded man would adore to their last breath!
I also came across this blog after hearing about the commercial and then doing a search. And since this blog is almost a year old, and has suddenly gotten a bunch of new comments in the past week, I’m guessing that a lot of folks found this blog the same way.
Yep! Thousands of people have come here from search engines or have been linked here from forums discussing the Lane Bryant ad.
This is the third time this has happened – Crystal Renn releasing her book, Tara Lynn being on the cover of Elle France and now Ashley and the Lane Bryant ad have all resulted in surges of page visits.
With any luck, some visitors may read the rest of my posts and get on board with fat acceptance. (Though I am fine with you guys just perving on the pretty pictures.)

I was invited to a party just upstairs from my apartment and noticed this very beautiful and pleasant lady, we spoke for a while. I would have spent more time with her at the party but I had brought my girlfriend (Sasha) at the time to the party since we were down stairs watching a movie. Ashley was very humble and outgoing. I did not know that she was a famous model. Go figure! Ashley is quite the lady.
