Just so you all know, I’m a VERY satisfied customer of Ro. Whoever wins the swimsuit will absolutely LOVE it! I adore my Ro swimsuit as well as my Ro belly dance pants. Ro knows how to design for us curvy gals! One caution about the monokini: if you have a short torso like me, the monokini might not look all that awesome on you. My bikini is a similar style to the red polkadot one. Seriously…I’m so excited for you Australian gals! Before I met Ro I would never spend that kind of money on a swimsuit, but I’m really glad I did.

WOW. That bikini is in a GREAT print for summer (ruffles and red and white polka dots – what’s not to love??) and the monokini is in the ever-versatile black, with the cute little ties at the waist. A tough decision!!!
At first I was going for the ‘safer’ option of the monokini, telling myself that ‘black will go with everything’. My thoughts then went to my stretch marks and how they would show in the cuts of the monokini. THEN I mentally ‘came to’ and said to myself “wtf… ROCK THE BIKINI!” coz we all know we’d look HOTTT in it

Ooooh my gosh. I haven’t had a new swimsuit in years – I need one!
I haven’t had the nerve to wear a bikini in years-bear three children naturally and society doesn’t waste time with “hinting” that you’re supposed to wear the mommy/mumu swimsuits, they pretty much just shove you into that section and hiss at you if you try to leave.
After finding a sturdy once piece that’s great for swimming laps because it never rides up, or falls down, and works great during water aerobics, I realized I’d like to have something “fun”. I love the red! I’d enjoy the black, too, but you know what? If I’m going to show off my curves, I want to really flaunt’em. And to all the skinny minis, the women who are kind of all one color (hair is bleached to a blonde/beige/tan color, skin matches, and after they get dressed, they tend to wear..you guessed it, BEIGE and TAN and CREAM), well, to all those perky high-energy Kelly Ripa look-alikes…I’d just LOVE to walk by with my bubble butt, my boobs, my thighs, my tattoes, my scars and a killer red bikini.

Much, much too cold in my city for a swimsuit right now. All the pools are covered up and the resevoirs are closed. However, spring will be here before I know it and will make good use of a new swimsuit. And I think the tan lines the monokini will produce will be hilarious….
